With 105 marked trails, Arapahoe Basin or A-Basin, has something for all levels of skiers. The newest addition, scheduled to open this upcoming ski season, is the Montezuma Bowl, the resort’s largest expansion project in over 60 years. The new Zuma lift will transport skiers to the 400 acres of the Montezuma Bowl. The Bowl is geared towards both intermediate and advanced skiers. With this addition, Arapahoe Basin will now feature over 900 acres for skiing.
Arapahoe Basin is also home to the highest terrain park in North America: the Treeline Terrain Park. The park allows both new boarders and life-long boarders the chance to try out a number of fun boxes and rails. Arapahoe Basin has also been known to have the longest ski season in the USA lasting from October to June.
The resort’s laid back atmosphere carries over to the resort’s restaurants. The Black Mountain Lodge, The Legend Café, Snow Plume Refuge and the Coffee Corner will all tempt your taste buds and provide just what you need for your three meals a day. For the après ski experience, the 6th Alley Bar is known as “the place to be at the end of the day” and visitors will a fun night with libations and entertainment.
While there are no overnight accommodations within Arapahoe Basin, there are plenty of places to stay in nearby Colorado cities.
So, whether it be early winter or late spring, a trip to Arapahoe Basin will be very worthwhile for skiers, snowboarders and others looking to have some winter fun.
