Grand Targhee Resort, Wyoming-Summer
While it’s true that year after year the Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming is named one of the top five resorts in the West for their skiing, the resort is also hopping in the summer months.
There are so many things to do within the Resort, but visiting any one of the local national parks nearby should also be part of summer trip. Grand Targhee is located right in between Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton National Park, two parks that are a “must see”.
After visiting the surrounding national parks, guests of the Grand Targhee Resort can also enjoy white water rafting, hot air ballooning and glider rides all within miles of the resort. Two other summer activities, golfing and fishing, are also plentiful in Wyoming.
The Targhee Village Golf Course, Teton Reserve Golf Club and The Links all offer challenges to those who decide to test their clubs out.
Fly fisherman will enjoy the world-renown Teton River and the south fork and Henry’s fork of the Snake River. A good place to catch some trophy brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout is at nearby Henry’s Lake.
When it comes to shopping and eating, the Grand Targhee Resort has you covered in both of those areas, too.
Shoppers will delight in local favorites High Country Colors and A Touch of the Tetons and diners can get their fill at Wild Bill’s Grille, Targhee Steakhouse or Snorkel’s Café. Locals suggest trying the Trap Bar and Grille’s signature huckleberry drink, the Targhini.
So, from outdoor activities to experiencing some amazing National Parks, your summertime vacation to the Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming will be anything but dull.
