Grand Targhee Resort, Wyoming-Winter
Situated in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest of Wyoming, the Grand Targhee Resort is what you’ve been looking for in a winter vacation.
Averaging 500 inches of snow annually, Grand Targhee’s two mountains cover over 3000 acres and challenges all levels of skiers.
Of their 63 trails on Fred’s Mountain, only 10% are designated easy trails, 70% are difficult and 20% are for advanced skiers. The longest run featured of these trails is the Teton Vista Traverse at 2.7 miles long. Nine trails are featured on Peaked Mountain that also features a 2419 foot vertical drop. Eighty-five percent of the trails on Peaked Mountain are considered difficult and 15% are considered advanced.
Grand Targhee Resort is also home to two freestyle terrain parks for the avid snowboarder: the North Pole and Trick Town terrain park. Of the two terrain parks, the North Pole is more for beginner boarders, while Trick Town is designed for more experienced riders.
While staying in the Grand Targhee Resort, there are many slopeside accommodations like the Targhee Lodge, Teewinot Lodge and Sioux Lodge suites or condominiums like Teton Creek and Stone Ridge, only miles away from the resort itself.
After a day out in the conditions, who wouldn’t enjoy a trip to the spa? Luckily The Spa at Grand Targhee not only offers a wide variety of spa packages but also a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise room.
Following some “r and r” the perfect dining experience also awaits you at the Grand Targhee Resort. The resort is known for the Targhee Steakhouse, where the restaurant not only features some great steaks but also local and imported game and upscale dishes. Other dining choices include Snorkel’s Café and Wild Bill’s Grille or for a more unique dining experience, guests can take a Sleighride dinner, where following a memorable ride guests enjoy a western style dinner.
The nighlife at Grand Targhee resort is also impressive with choices like Trap Bar and Grille, home to televisions broadcasting sports, live musical entertainment, 10 taps and their signature drink, the Targhini.
Last but not least, the Grand Targhee Resort also features some top notch shopping facilities in The Edge Pro Shop, High Country Colors and A Touch of the Tetons.
Just one trip to the Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming and you’ll see why the guests keep on coming back.
