Opening in 1948, Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort was one of the first Colorado winter vacation destinations Whether it’s an area local or an “out-of-towner,” all are sure to enjoy the 30 feet of average snowfall r.eceived at Arapahoe each year. Thanks to this massive snowfall, Arapahoe Basin is able to extend its ski season through the middle of June.

The mountain itself is made for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. On a percentage basis, the mountain is marked off for the different types of terrain. 10% marked as easiest, 50% as difficult, 20% as more difficult, and 20% as expert.
How can a mountain be complete without a freestyle terrain park? This Colorado ski resort is home to the highest terrain park in North America, The Mutha’ Hucker. This park is home to some of the craziest tabletops and jibs, perfect for the extreme skier and snowboarder.
A-Basin offers ski and snowboard instruction for all skill levels. $219 can get you a season pass, recreational rentals, and 4 – 2 hour lessons. Availability and prices are always subject to change. If you decide to take lessons you can expect lots of personal attention from the qualified instructors. Private lessons are also available.
