For the extreme skiers and snowboarders, the Breckenridge Resort has 25-acres of terrain park full of tabletops and rails. Since the opening in December of 1961, the staff at this winter getaway has been able to put together over 140 different trails and runs. The longest run being Four O’clock, which is 3.5 miles long. Breckenridge is perfect for beginning, intermediate, and advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Since Breckenridge is entrusted with taking care of the lands in the Rocky Mountains, they promote many energy and environmentally safe acts. These include: renewable energy, resource conservation, recycling, wildlife, habitat preservation, and environmental education. Breck staff recommends carpooling, recycling, and respecting all posted closures in hopes of keeping the mountain clean and safe.
