Cooper mountain is one of the smaller ski resorts in Colorado. The mountain offers beautiful terrain for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. If you want to avoid crowds, this is a great place to go. For you extreme skiers, you'll love the snow cats skiing at Cooper ski area.
From Denver, go on I70 until you see Copper mountain and route 24. Copper mountain is a different mountain, so don't get confused by the spelling. Go up 24 until you see Cooper mountain located minutes before the historical town of Leadville.
The snow cat skiing starts early and ends late in the day. You'll get carted up many of the surrounding peaks. Then (with a tour guide), you'll ski down untouched powder and do it again.
There is so much untouched terrain that you won't hit the same area twice. The terrain is not seriously steep, but it is considered advanced. So get ready for a full day of adventure and come on out to Cooper Ski Area.
You can book a room in Leadville, Colorado which is about 15 minutes from Cooper. Cooper offers family fun for everyone one.
