Fun at Copper Mt

Colorado skiing rarely gets better than Copper Mountain! With terrain that runs the gamut from beginner to expert to extreme skiing and snowboarding, Copper has it all. It’s just over an hour from Denver International Airport and is a full service mountain resort.

Without the legendary Colorado Champagne Powder, the Rockies would only be a great place to visit in the summer. But thanks to the high average snowfall, the Rockies turn from the most rugged, towering and sometimes intimidating mountains to soft slopes of perfect snow. Copper Mountain is consistently one of the earliest mountains to open for business every year. It’s a race between Loveland Ski Area, Arapahoe Basin and Copper every year to see who can get snowboarders and skiers on the lift the earliest(usually around the second week of October). From then until mid April…IT’S FUN TIME!!!

Copper Mountain’s amenities take care of anything you could need. But the reason people go to Copper specifically is for the Mountain! This is the perfect place for a family ski trip, a reunion with some old friends or a couple getaway because Copper’s terrain really does serve the complete beginner to the accomplished expert and everything in between. The Terrain Park at Copper has evolved into X-Games quality and offers high flying fun for as high as you’d like to fly. High speed chairlifts zoom crowds up the hill as everyone has a great time coming back down.

Copper Mountain lodging offers something for any families’ price range. Families can rent ski-in, ski-out houses and condos. All of the hotel rooms are beautiful within the confines of the Copper Mountain Resort and the amenities range from Five Star Hotels to more economical units so everyone is welcome.

Ski and Snowboard Rental is available at the base of the mountain as well as in the town of Frisco just a few miles away. If you stop in Frisco, Colorado to find your snowboard or ski rental package, make sure to ask if they have discounted lift tickets for Copper Mountain.

Dining and nightlife at Copper Mountain is as exciting as the challenging downhill runs of the day. Apres Ski kicks things off with live music, drink specials and all of the enthusiasts unwinding from the day of sliding on the snow. A cup of coffee at Camp Hale(named for the Army camp where the legendary skiing warriors of the 10th Mountain Division trained), or a Colorado Microbrew at Endo’s Adrenaline Café is always a great way to cap off the day. Elk steaks at the CB Grille offers an elegant and possibly romantic touch. The best of Japan in Colorado? You bet! Try the Storm King Lounge for sushi, sake, and other fine cuisines. For something a bit more laid back, grab a red hot and a beer at Copper Red Hots, or Pizza by the slice from Pizza Carlos. How about a beer and falafel at Jack’s Slopeside Bar and Grill or watch all the action at Copper’s Superpipe from the patio of Jill’s bar.

From the views to the skiing and snowboarding to the fantastic nightlife to the lodging and dining, Copper Mountain truly does have everything you could want from a mountain resort all in one beautifully yet centrally located Colorado location!
